  • To reach out to families struggling with unemployment, parenting issues, financial difficulties and inter-personal relationship issues. This programme provides practical help by offering skills training, financial management advise, counselling and guidance, child befriending/mentoring and academic assistance to their children.

Eligibility criteria for admission to programme

  • Families who have a household per capita income of not more than $700.00

Minimum Qualification required of volunteers

  • Counselling & Guidance: Recognized professional qualifications in counselling or social work

  • Tuition: An ‘O’ level pass in the subjects offered for tuition

  • Have a heart to journey with beneficiaries who register for this programme

BCCS' Expectations of volunteers

  • Life Skills Training: Has expertise/experience in conducting workshops for parents

  • Child Befriending: Young Adults committed to serving on a monthly basis for a minimum of 6 months, and enjoys interacting with children

  • General: Good interpersonal communication skills, caring and patient yet firm
